A Late Edwardian Model Of A Barque

A late Edwardian model of the barque ''Robert Stewart'', in a glazed case, named after the first Marquis of Londonderry (1739-1821). The ship was used as an emmigrant ship transporting people from Ireland and Scotland to the United States and Canada. The model comes with copies of cuttings from the New England Farmer (2nd July 1820) and a copy of the manifest listing passengers and some of the crew on a journey from Londonderry to Philadelphia dated 19th August 1853. Recently restored.
