This Georgian Adam-style hall or side table dates from 1880 and is constructed from warm brown figured Spanish mahogany with solid oak drawer linings and brass hardware. The elongated rectangular top possesses a beaded fore-edge above three frieze drawers adorned with neo-classical carvings of scrolled foliage, urns, and swags, alongside circular brass ring drop handles. Fluted aprons decorate the sides of the table, while the whole structure rests upon eight tapering fluted legs embellished with applied paterae and neat spade feet. Practical in scale, the piece measures 86 cm high, 182 cm wide, and 53 cm deep.
