FAQs

A Georgian demi-lune console table is a semi-circular accent table designed during the Georgian era to stand flush against a wall in a entryway, hallway, or reception room.

These pieces were predominantly crafted from solid mahogany and mahogany veneers, often featuring secondary woods such as pine or oak for frame support and internal drawer construction.

Authentic pieces exhibit signs of hand-craftsmanship including irregular dovetail joints, hand-sawn timber marks beneath the frame, natural timber shrinkage, and genuine age-related patination.

Position them symmetrically flanking a central feature such as a doorway, fireplace, or large mirror, styled with contemporary lighting or ceramic vessels to create visual balance.

Dust surfaces regularly using a clean microfibre cloth and apply a beeswax polish periodically, keeping the timber away from direct heat sources and direct sunlight to protect the finish.
