Description:
 
This is a fine quality pair of antique English Georgian pair of console tables, constructed from solid mahogany, circa 1800, in excellent condition. Constructed with top quality solid mahogany tops, they benefit from stunning single-plank thumb moulded tops (a sign of quality). Below, the tables feature a fine reed-moulded frieze, decorated with boxwood and ebony string inlay, with curved “D” ends, raised on square tapering legs. This Georgian pair of console tables boast a stunning mellow red-brown mahogany colour, having been cleaned and professionally French polished by hand in our workshop. They display a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.

The console tables have been adapted from a dining table. This pair of mahogany console tables have been cleaned and professionally French polished by hand in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination are of an excellent standard. Nominal old use marks to the curved “D-shaped” friezes and edges, but nothing significant considering the age of them.
