Size: 3ft 5in x 1ft 9in (103 x 53cm) side panel size.

A complete south Caucasian or Shahsavan mafrash storage bag with striped base.

Circa 1900.

A good example of a mafrash storage bag, used for transporting goods during the migration and for storage within the tribal tent. This example is in fine soumak work, with a traditional latch hook medallion design. The base is in striped plain weave.

Excellent condition with slight wear.
