Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian leaded glass windows from the early 20th century frequently feature geometric lead cames framing textured, coloured glass panels, often incorporating a hand-painted central enamel scene such as a landscape or floral vignette.

Individual pieces of blown or rolled coloured glass were cut and fitted into H-shaped lead channels known as cames, soldered at the joints, and sealed with glaziers putty to ensure weatherproofing and stability.

Authentic turn-of-the-century pieces display natural variations in glass thickness, subtle air bubbles or seeds within the glass, dark patinated lead cames, and kiln-fired vitreous paint fused directly into the glass surface.

These decorative panels can be hung in front of a modern plain window to catch natural light, mounted inside a light box as illuminated wall art, or built into internal transom openings between rooms.

Clean glass gently using a soft cloth lightly dampened with water or distilled spirit, avoiding ammonia-based cleaners that can erode lead cames or strip historical putty.
