Also Antique Furniture has dated this piece to the 1920s.
This example likely dates from the early 20th century (circa 1920) and replicates the iconography and composition of the original “Taste” panel, housed in the Musée de Cluny, Paris. Set against a millefleurs background in deep crimson, the scene features a noble lady flanked by a lion and a unicorn, with trees, animals, and birds woven throughout. The tapestry is mounted on a linen backing for stability and ease of hanging, with brass hanging rings sewn into the top (note there are more hanging points than photographed). Handwritten label verso.
