Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
It is of outstanding quality, it is very well made from solid and veneered walnut. This stands on lovely turned and fluted legs, there are lovely carved corbels under each corner. The front has three drawers with a key that works for all of them. The reverse is also nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item. There is a wonderful inset black leather top which has blind tooling around the edges.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
