Early 19th Century Freestanding Marquetry Desk

Description

Very Decorative and great quality late 18th to early 19th century Continental freestanding desk (or dressing table) in fruitwood with marquetry and the most fabulous colour.

This desk or dressing table can free stand being finished to the rear. A full width drawer above two drawers below. The lower drawers both have working locks and keys, I’m doing my best to revive the top drawer lock!

Wonderful colour and the chevron marquetry, oval inset medallion of burr walnut to the top and standing on these very elegant square tapered legs finished with brass caps.

Super piece and in good original condition.
