Antique Figured Walnut Queen Anne Style Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

A superb antique figured walnut Queen Anne style desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1900-1910 period.

The quality is outstanding, this is beautifully constructed and has a gorgeous figured walnut top with cross banded edges. The corners are canted, this stands on cabriole legs with scrolled carving at the knees. The figured walnut grain patterns are lovely, the drawers also have cross banded edges. There are good quality brass handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints on the drawers.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with a wonderful all round patina.

Knee height – 23 inches , 59 cm

Knee width – 14.5 inches , 37 cm
