Antique William IV Walnut Partners Writing Table

Description

A superb antique William IV walnut partners writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1830-1840 period.

The quality is outstanding, this is as fine a writing table of the period as you could find. The walnut grain patterns are gorgeous, this is finished identically front and back, each side has one drawer and one dummy drawer. There is crisp carving at the top of the finely turned baluster legs, which sit on original brass casters.

The condition is excellent for its age, we have just had this re-polished. The leather top has also been replaced with a hand coloured and gold tooled green leather.

Depth – 28 inches , 71 cm

Height – 28.5 inches , 72 cm

Knee height – 23.5 inches , 60 cm
