C19th William IV period mahogany knee-hole dressing or writing table. Fitted with a three-quarter surround gallery up-stand ,and 2 drawers either side of a classically-inspired and crisply-carved with honeysuckle motif central ''knee-hole'' panel. The waist frieze decorated with an applied gilt-brass trim , the drawers fitted with replacement cast gilt-brass period oval ring handles. Raised upon turned, tapering legs with carved detail to top and bottom ,onto turned feet.In excellent original condition , the top having achieved a nicely sun-faded , mellow colour , the whole of a generally good rich patina.
