Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Oriental tea tables have a long lineage rooted in Asian domestic traditions, traditionally designed for low seating arrangements during tea ceremonies and daily gatherings.

These tables are typically constructed from dense hardwoods such as rosewood, elm, or zitan, often utilizing traditional mortise and tenon joinery without metal fasteners.

Authenticity is determined by examining hand-carved details, traditional joinery techniques, natural patina accumulation, and the presence of shrinkage cracks consistent with aged hardwood.

They serve well as low-profile coffee tables or display surfaces, pairing effectively with minimalist upholstery, neutral palettes, and natural textures to create a grounded focal point.

Maintain antique wooden surfaces by keeping them away from direct sunlight and heat sources, dusting regularly with a dry cloth, and occasionally applying appropriate natural waxes.
