It was listed by Gilt and Gesso. Sold pieces stay on Sellingantiques as a record of what has passed through, and the next one is rarely far away.
Gilt and Gesso has dated this Painted Toleware Fire Screen to the 1870s.

The nicest example I’ve seen and certainly the largest, good quality gauge steel with original support to the rear, featuring the central oil painted flower basket decoration.
We estimate it dates to circa 1860-1880, English.
