An antique Chinese bowl dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, with attractive naive decoration in underglaze blue with stylised flowers and scrolls.
Condition: The bowl has various flaws as follows, but they don’t detract from its charm:
There are several chips to the rim and two hairline cracks radiating from the rim towards the centre of the bowl. There is an area of loss to the glaze in the centre of the bowl and various pits and blemishes. There is an area of loss to the glaze on the underside of the bowl and some firing flaws around the foot.
