A fine pair of Gothic Revival carved oak wall brackets. The pair in solid oak are each superbly carved with a grotesque Greenman face. The carving is crisp and deep with a huge amount of detail. The oak has a pleasing colour and good rich patina. The pair almost certainly once made-up part of a larger decorative scheme, perhaps a fireplace and were removed for use as wall brackets. Both of the brackets are in excellent condition and have a wonderful look and decorative impact.
