A Very Substantial Military Walking Cane

1920 - 1940
Description

A military walking cane by POTTER ALDERSHOT (Still operating today). A substantial tall cane with a large wrythen silver knop. The Knop is engraved 'THE KINGS OWN'. The London hallmark maker is difficult to ascertain but appears to be FD or RO followed by Lion Leopard A denoting 1936 ?

The Malacca shaft is strong and straight terminating with it original oversize steel ferrule. There are two striped bands around the stem (see photos)

Suitable for a tall person

96 cm Long

The knop is 9.7 cm long and is max 5.09 in diameter.

The shaft at the base of the knop is 2.72 in diameter

The ferrule is 12.5 cm long
