A large folk art style carved and painted decoy goose. The goose is carved from softwood and is in a sleeping pose, with its head resting on its wing. A lovely decorative item.

This charming goose is quite naive in style. We believe it dates from the early 20th century.

Condition: There are a few splits in the timber, mainly towards the tail area where there appears to be a knot, and some losses/wear to the paint, but nothing that detracts from its overall appearance.
