Super Rare Metal Antique Baroque Rams & Maiden Head Marble Topped Console Table

Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this exceptionally rare, antique metal framed Baroque / Rococo French console table with the original distressed marble top

This table is a real mystery, I have never seen another like it nor can I find another example online anywhere, it looks to be late 18th century however the frame is all metal, if it were timber it would be but being it metal, it must be later 19th century. The frame looks to be some kind of painted bronze but I really can't tell, it weights a few hundred kilos and is a pretty formidable piece to move around

This is the most wonderfully decorative console table I have ever seen, it has large rams heads which are finished by hoof paws as the side and back columns, maiden's heads to the front and to the very rear, another pair or legs for want of another word that are purely decorative

The marble top is original and distressed, it has an old repair to the front and white marks to the top, I can have this professionally restored should the new owner wish for the cost price, I have left it original as I would like the new owner to decide what they would like to do with it, I am merely a custodian for now
