Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

FAQs

A Georgian style jardiniere is an indoor plant container modelled after traditional 18th-century English designs, often taking the form of coopered wooden buckets with metal bands used to house potted plants.

These pieces are typically constructed using traditional cooperage techniques, featuring vertical wooden staves held together by brass or iron bands, often raised on carved cabriole legs or a stand.

Authentic period pieces feature period-correct wood species such as mahogany or oak, hand-forged or cast brass straps with appropriate hand-cut fixings, and natural internal wear consistent with historical moisture exposure.

These versatile vessels serve as striking focal points in traditional or transitional spaces, functioning well when paired with large leafy indoor flora to introduce organic texture and classical proportion.

To preserve the wood and metal, always use a waterproof plastic liner inside the bucket to prevent water damage and soil contact, and occasionally treat the timber with appropriate wax polish.
