This 1920s English coffee table is made from figured walnut veneer in a warm brown timber colour with a polished finish. The circular top features a raised scalloped pie crust rim and distinctive natural wood grain patterns. It stands on cabriole legs decorated with crisp shell carvings and acanthus leaf details at the knees, terminating in traditional claw and ball feet. Measuring 53 cm high, 76 cm wide, and 76 cm deep, the table sits at a low proportion suitable for positioning in the centre of a sitting room or drawing room as a surface for drinks, books, or decorative items. The traditional Queen Anne style complements period interiors and English country house aesthetics while providing a functional centrepiece for everyday use.

A pie crust coffee table features a raised, scalloped or moulded rim resembling the crimped edge of a pie crust, a design style popularised during the 18th-century Chippendale and Queen Anne periods.

Traditional figured walnut pieces feature dense walnut timber veneers selected for distinct grain patterns, supported by solid walnut framing, hand-carved legs, and mortise-and-tenon joinery.

Authentic pieces showcase hand-carved edge details, natural aging or patination on the timber finish, structural joinery underneath, and distinctive grain figures such as burr or swirl walnut.

Position the table centrally in a living space to showcase the carved rim, pairing it with modern neutral upholstery, brass accents, or minimal decorative trays to balance the detailed woodwork.

Maintain walnut furniture by dusting regularly with a soft dry cloth, applying a high-quality beeswax polish periodically along the wood grain, and keeping the piece away from direct heat sources.
