A wonderfully original decorated 19thc " blackamoor" or moorish figure ,unusual in the fact that it hasnt been electrified!!

He stands 185cms high ,a real statement " country house" piece.

The decoration is rich and untouched. And has assumed a super patination over the years

We are dating this as around 1880 .

And probably french./moorish

Extremely hard to find in this condition.
