Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

These tables are characterised by the use of natural, unaltered tree roots or stumps as structural bases combined with stone or slate surfaces, reflecting a tradition of rustic, utilitarian craftsmanship.

Authentic period pieces typically utilise native hardwoods such as oak, chestnut, or pine for the organic base, paired with locally quarried natural stone or slate for the top.

Authentication relies on examining the natural patination of the wood, traditional joinery methods where the top meets the base, and the presence of hand-cut slate or stone wear consistent with age.

Such pieces serve as sculptural accents in modern schemes, contrasting clean architectural lines with organic textures and natural materials.

Maintenance involves dusting the wood with a dry cloth, treating the timber periodically with neutral beeswax, and cleaning the slate surface with a damp, lint-free cloth without harsh chemicals.
