Moorish revival furniture is a style inspired by Islamic architecture and design, gaining popularity in the late 19th and early 20th centuries during the Victorian eras fascination with exotic aesthetics.

These tables are traditionally constructed from dense hardwoods such as shisham, teak, or walnut, frequently featuring intricate hand-carvings and sometimes inlaid with brass, bone, or mother-of-pearl.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit hand-carved detailing with minor natural irregularities, traditional joinery methods, and age-appropriate oxidisation and wear on the wood surfaces.

This type of table functions effectively as an accent piece, adding textural contrast and global eclecticism when placed alongside modern or traditional seating arrangements.

Maintain the wood by dusting regularly with a soft, dry cloth and occasionally applying natural beeswax to nourish the timber, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners or excessive moisture.
