Fabulous, Large French bronze and marble double inkwell featuring Le Grand Paysan by Jules Dalou. Marks to base Dalou, Susse Fes Edts Paris, cire perdue, and Susse Cachet. Two inkwells are marked ‘Rambaud Sclp.’

Figure is 30cm high. Base is 52cm(W) x 22.5cm(D).

Excellent condition throughout. Late 19th century.
