A History of British Birds in two volumes (1 and 2) by Thomas Bewick (1753-1828).

In good condition commensurate with age, these books are full leather bound with gilded decoration and were printed in 1847 by J Blackwell and Company

Every page has an illustration and it would appear that some of the birds recorded are sadly now extinct.
