Description

RARE Impressive Italian Renaissance Revival Carved Walnut Griffins by Master Carver Luigi Frullini of Florence who in 1876 was awarded the cross of the knights of the crown , the highest distinction the Kingdom of Italy. Luigi participated in International Fairs in Dublin, Paris , Philadelphia, Turin and Vienna. In the years following the exhibitions he obtained important commissions for the daughter of Queen Victoria and for the daughter of the Grand Duchess of Russia .

Luigi made only a few of these chairs and two sold in Christies for £25,000.

The dimensions DO NOT include the plinths.
