A large beautifully carved figure of a young woman. Depicted leaning against a railing with a shawl draped over, she has a relaxed and friendly pose and is dressed in a smock and stockings with a purse attached by a platted leather belt on her hip, she also has wavy hair and a cloth hat. The whole stands on its original carved plinth base and has a very good colour and patina. 1510mm high, 490mm wide and 490mm deep. Mid European. Circa 1860.
