A super pair of Georgian coasters, easily big enough to hold decanters as well as wine bottles.
They are simply shaped, with raised borders terminating in fluted edges. The base black colour has a great shine which is embellished with a simple gold decoration - Two concentric circles just inside the fluted edges, a further wider gold circle where the sides rise from the base and a very pretty collection of stars on the base.
As you would expect, some of the gold has worn - the stars rather than the circles - and there is damage to one part of the edging, which is shown in the photographs.
