A rare and well proportioned 18th Century Mahogany Chippendale Tripod Table with bird cage action of marvels faded glassy colour and patina. The one piece top with turned tray to the edge, the excellently carved base with leaf work and scrolls terminating with claw and ball feet.
The tray top most unusually has been made originally from Mahogany being applied to the rebated edge of the top before being turned. Three small patches have been added to this edge at a later date.
