Late C18th George III period mahogany oval ''Pembroke'' table. Elegant oval-framed drop-leaf mahogany ''Pembroke'' table with twin leaves and fitted with a single drawer to the bowed-end frieze.Standing on tapering moulded square-section legs with a moulded foot ,fitted with original brass ''barrel'' castors beneath . The solid figured mahogany oval top supported on shaped ''fly'' supports when drop-leaves are raised . Original throughout with blue-paper lined drawer fitted with a decorative brass knob and box-wood stringing to the edge. The reverse frieze fitted with a box-wood inlaid line to simulate drawer .The tops of legs and edge of base with ebony line inlay .Excellent ready-to-use condition , original finish and pleasing consistent mellow faded patina . The top with some minor historic ring-marks and stains commensurate with age and use.
