M Lees and Sons has dated this Mahogany Oval Pembroke Table to the 1800s.
Standing on tapering moulded square-section legs with a moulded foot ,fitted with original brass 'barrel' castors beneath . The solid figured mahogany oval top supported on shaped 'fly' supports when drop-leaves are raised .

Original throughout with blue-paper lined drawer fitted with a decorative brass knob and box-wood stringing to the edge. The reverse frieze fitted with a box-wood inlaid line to simulate drawer .The tops of legs and edge of base with ebony line inlay .

Excellent ready-to-use condition , original finish and pleasing consistent mellow faded patina . The top with some minor historic ring-marks and stains commensurate with age and use.
A classic piece of late Georgian period drawing-room furniture of useful scale and elegant design.
