Description

Welsh miniature chest of drawers of a typical Victorian design, with a slim "secret" drawer at the top and split-turned columns at each edge. There are four rows of drawers, each with a small moulded glass handle, with the whole supported on a plinth and raised on turned feet.

This is possibly an apprentice piece or a workshop sample and was made in Cardiganshire, west Wales, circa 1880
