This nineteenth century occasional table follows the Chippendale Revival style, rendered in solid mahogany with a warm brown finish. The round top displays a scalloped pie-crust edge and rests on a tilting mechanism above a central tripod pedestal. Three slender cabriole legs extend downwards, terminating in pad feet with castors. Fine carving is visible on the upper knee sections of the legs and the central support junction, while natural grain variation and a polished sheen appear across the timber surface. The table measures 76 cm wide by 76 cm deep by 56 cm high. Such a piece suits placement at the end of a sofa or beside an armchair in a traditional sitting room or study.
