This antique Persian tribal bagface textile displays hand-knotted wool in dark red, indigo blue, and cream. The composition incorporates a Mina khani pattern, geometric diamonds, and a stepped border motif framed by fringed edges at the top and bottom. Good patination is present across the 120-year-old weaving, alongside classic rich dark colours including petrol blue and pure ink navy. Approximate dimensions are 76 cm by 61 cm. Such decorative oriental weavings function well in a gentleman's library or study environment as a wall display or collectors' piece. The item integrates naturally into traditional interiors, heritage spaces, or academic rooms seeking authentic period textiles with tribal character. Placement requires wall hanging fixtures or suitable preservation framing to protect the hand-knotted wool construction.

Belouch textiles were traditionally woven by nomadic tribes inhabiting the border regions between Persia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The Mina Khani design features a repeating floral trellis motif adapted into a geometric, tribal format by nomadic weavers using local wool.

These items are crafted using hand-spun wool for both the pile and the foundation. The wool is dyed using traditional natural plant and mineral dyes, predominantly producing deep indigo, madder red, and dark brown shades.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-knotted wool construction with characteristic selvedge wrapping, dark brown or goat hair warps, slight asymmetrical variations in pattern, and natural abrash colour shifts throughout the pile.

Small tribal textiles such as bagfaces are commonly mounted and framed as wall art, layered over larger neutral flat-weave rugs, or converted into decorative accent cushions to add texture and geometric pattern to living spaces.

Vacuum gently without a rotating brush to prevent pile damage, keep out of direct sunlight to prevent colour fading, and address spills immediately by blotting with a clean cloth. Professional wool rug cleaning is recommended when required.
