Gatcombe Antiques has dated these Regency Miniature Chest Drawers to the Regency era.
The three drawers are slightly graduating, each having two brass knobs. They have diamond-shaped escutcheons, made out of a lighter timber. These were sometimes made out of mother-of-pearl or bone, this shape being typical of the Regency period. It sits on four bracket feet. Mainly made out of mahogany, with the exception of the interior parts of the drawers, which are constructed from pine, as it would usually have been, in relation to the construction of full-size furniture.

Fully cleaned, with the mahogany further enhanced with a couple of coats of French polish and a coat of beeswax. In very good condition. A good practical antique that can be of use today, as perhaps a jewellery box, sitting on a dressing table.

Aftercare:
Cleaned and restored (where necessary) to a high presentable standard. Periodically wipe over
with a soft cloth. Occasionally, use a spray furniture polish containing beeswax to maintain
its satin sheen. Please don't use a silicone spray as this could have a detrimental effect on the
waxed surface.
