A particularly elegant George III country oak side table, combining beautiful proportions, understated simplicity and exceptional colour and patina.

The table features a wonderfully attractive three-plank oak top with a gentle bow front, displaying a superb depth of colour and a beautifully developed, rich, mellow patina acquired through generations of use.

Beneath the top sits a single frieze drawer, fitted with a brass drop handle, providing useful storage without compromising the table's elegant lines. Raised on beautifully proportioned square tapering legs, the table has a wonderfully light and refined appearance while retaining all the warmth and character of traditional English country furniture.

The subtle bow to the front, combined with the simplicity of the tapered legs and the exceptional surface of the oak, gives this piece a particularly pleasing balance of charm, elegance and practicality.

A lovely example of 18th-century English country furniture, equally suited to a period interior or a contemporary home. Ideal as a side table, occasional table or elegant hall table.
