Outstanding Quality Victorian Cast Iron Stick Stand

Description

An imposing Victorian period Falkirk foundry cast iron stick stand with original drip tray to the base c.1885. Arched top back with urn shaped finial to the top and a stylised border including two panels of scroll work decoration to the lower section. Matching cast hoop to hold the sticks or umbrellas in position and a removeable drip tray to the base with a decorative cast border, plus complementing egg and dart design outer border to the frame. Marked Falkirk (Falkirk Foundry Co, Scotland) along with registered number and date lozenge to the rear.
