A French Cream Painted Table 120cm Inset Suede Top and Cabriole Legs, c1920s.

A superbly stylish early to mid 20th century, French cream painted writing table, console or side table with cabriole legs, serpentine front and side profile and inset French-blue, suede top.

The 120cm wide writing table has its original cream paint and grey pinstripe, the paint showing some evidence of a timeworn appearance to authenticate, some surface crazing and some scratches which enhance its aesthetic.

The top has a resent blue suede which probably replaced an original leather writing surface.

An elegant, versatile table of considerable decorative appeal. Structurally excellent, and presently available, we may end listing and consign to our workshop for a new leather writing surface but may delay decision as the buyer may prefer the present top and have other intentions.
