A First Period Worcester Porcelain Barrel Shaped Teapot & Stand C.1780

Description

An exquisite First Period Worcester Porcelain Teapot and Stand c.1780. Of barrel shape, with vertical fluting, rose flower finial & a very finely decorated in the Sevres style with trailing flower and gilded decoration within gilt ‘C’ scrolls, the bottom of the teapot and lid decorated with a ‘bleu celeste cailoutte’ ground border.

Blue Crescent mark to the base of the teapot and stand. 

Condition: Very good with just some wear to the stand 

Provenance: The Anthony Collection
