An 18th century Delft Apothecary Jar.

With a slightly domed cover, centred by a button handle.

The cover fitting over the raised rim of the jar, the tall neck broadening into the rounded body, which then sweeps into a concave stem and circular foot.

The jug with a cylindrical spout to one side, and a broad handle to the other side.

The cover painted with small trees and foliage, the theme repeated to the body, as a river flows under the handle.

Height 10 1/2 inch190es, 27cm.

Width 6 inches, 15cm.

Depth 8 inches, 20cm.
