Unusual Negretti and Zambra Adjustable Angle Thermometer

An unusual Victorian Negretti & Zambra swing scale wall mounted mercury action thermometer in full working order c.1885. Polished mahogany backplate with moulded edge and recessed hanging plate to the rear. Twin cast brass mounts supporting the engraved and gilded glass thermometer scale, which reads in Fahrenheit and Centigrade with the original mercury action thermometer sat to the centre. The glass scale can be adjusted for angle and swings left and right on the brass mounts. Bears the makers name Negretti & Zambra, Instrument Makers To Her Majesty, London. Smaller items are shipped by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes insurance for the item whilst in transit and a guaranteed tracked delivery.
