This pair of nineteenth century nineteenth-century Aesthetic Movement pedestals stands as a striking example of English Country House design, constructed from wood and finished in white paint with dark green painted panels. Each tapered column has a moulded base and capital, inset dark green panels on the front decorated with hand-painted botanical foliage and floral scenes, and square tops measuring 31 cm by 31 cm. The pair stands 98 cm high, 37 cm wide, and 37 cm deep overall. Placed in an empty corner, these pedestals provide a decorative display surface for a bust, urn, or sculpture in a living room, hallway, or study.
