Set Of Five 19th C Apothecary Jars

A Set of Five 19th Century Apothecary Jars and Lids.
 
Each with a rounded spire finial over the sweeping concave bodies, sweeping to an overhanging rim, and the recessed collar, fitting within the banded rims of the jar bodies. The jars with a small concave banding enclosing the cylindrical bodies, falling to a lower concave banding, and thence a rounded foot rim. The jars with traces of gilt and painted swag and vase decoration.
 
Date circa 1850.
 
Height 12 inches, 30cm.
 
Diameter 5 1/2 inches, 14cm.
