Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Neoclassical marble columns emerged during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, inspired by classical Greek and Roman architecture and Grand Tour collections, serving as structural accents or standalone display pedestals for busts and sculptures.

Traditional Italian columns often combine contrasting stone varieties, such as heavily veined grey Bardiglio marble for the main central shaft alongside white Carrara marble for the bases, capitals, and square plinths.

Authentic period columns feature hand-carved detailing, separate sectioned construction with turned collar joints, natural variations in marble veining, and faint signs of patination or surface wear on structural edges.

Marble pedestals function effectively in modern interiors to elevate contemporary sculpture, ceramic art, or indoor botanical displays, introducing architectural grandeur and natural stone texture to corners and alcoves.

Clean natural marble using a soft, damp cloth and mild pH-neutral soap, taking care to avoid acidic chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can etch or dull the stone surface.
