Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

New Hall was a prominent Staffordshire porcelain manufactory established in 1781, renowned for producing hard-paste and later soft-paste porcelain teaware decorated with polychrome floral enamels and gilded cobalt borders during the Georgian period.

Georgian porcelain pieces were typically crafted from hard-paste or soft-paste porcelain, featuring hand-applied enamel decoration, underglaze cobalt blue painting, and hand-gilded accents over lead-glazed porcelain bodies.

Authentic Georgian porcelain often displays translucent qualities under light, slight weight variations, hand-painted floral sprigs with visible brushwork, age-appropriate wear to gilding, and pattern numbers painted on the underside rather than modern printed marks.

These decorative ceramics can be displayed on plate stands inside glazed cabinets, arranged in gallery wall displays, or placed on sideboards and dressers to introduce historic colour, texture, and craftsmanship into contemporary spaces.

Porcelain with gold leaf and hand-painted enamels should be washed gently by hand using warm water and mild soap, avoiding abrasive pads, chemical cleaners, or dishwashers that strip delicate gilding.
