Georgian Mahogany Rotating Fire Cat / Fireside Stand

Description

A fine mahogany fire cat (fireside plate stand). Dating to the late 18th / early 19th Century. With beautifully turned wooden struts. The top rotates on its stand. Wonderful colour and patination.

The condition is good overall with only slight signs of age related wear. Slight wear to the ends of the struts and a couple of shallow hairline cracks, as is to be expected due to age and use.
