This 18th-century English delftware apothecary jar is an ovoid-shaped ceramic vessel made of tin-glazed earthenware. The exterior surface is covered in a white glaze featuring hand-painted cobalt blue decorations. The central motif is a decorative cartouche consisting of a central shell flanked by winged cherubs and floral swags. Within this frame, the jar is inscribed with ''CONF:CARDIAC'' in uppercase blue lettering.
