LVS Decorative Arts has dated this Sheraton Mahogany Side Table to the 18th Century.

This leads down to the two shaped drawers each consisting of a recessed panel with ebony line decoration, each having two brass handles (replaced at some time but in keeping with the period) and an escutcheon.

One drawer is longer as the central panel is integrated into this drawer, the central panel being a recessed circle with ebony moulding surrounded by fiddle back mahogany veneer with boxwood and mahogany stringing.

The shaped sides also having a recessed design with ebony line decoration, below the drawers and side panels a banding of satinwood, mahogany, ebony and boxwood.
The legs having a recessed panel leading down to shaped brackets with a mahogany and boxwood moulding with an inlaid diamond decoration below, the tapered legs are cross banded with boxwood stringing and terminate with four spade feet.

Side servers of this period and style are extremely rare as most tend to be in the Robert Adam style rather than the Sheraton style.
This piece is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
