Description

An elegant Worcester porcelain covered sauce tureen dating to the Flight, Barr & Barr period, circa 1820. The piece stands on a square plinth base and retains its original domed cover with spoon aperture.

The decoration consists of a finely painted gilt trailing vine with small cobalt-blue flowers on a white ground, executed with notable precision and restraint.

The impressed crown over FBB mark to the base confirms production during the Flight, Barr & Barr partnership, a period associated with high-quality Worcester porcelain made for elite clientele.

Forms of this type are less frequently encountered than standard table wares and offer strong decorative presence.
