We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

This late 19th-century Regency style nest of four tables comprises four graduated pieces made from satinwood timber with a warm honey brown finish. Each rectangular top features a crossbanded border with ebony cockbeading enclosing an amboyna oval inlay panel, supported by slender ring turned faux bamboo legs united by arched concave stretchers and set on outswept feet with light surface wear. The set measures 69 cm high, 50 cm wide, and 34 cm deep. In a contemporary home, this versatile nest sits easily at the end of a sofa or serves as a compact surface arrangement in a living room or study. The individual tables slide neatly beneath one another when floor space is required, providing extra tabletops for drinks or books while maintaining a traditional aesthetic.

A quartetto set is a nested group of four graduated occasional tables designed to slide neatly beneath one another, popularised in English cabinetmaking during the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

High-grade cabinet woods such as satinwood, mahogany, and rosewood were predominantly used, often featuring delicate marquetry inlays, stringing, and turned wood legs.

Authentic period nests display hand-cut dovetail or mortise joints, subtle timber shrinkage, original varnish patination, and proportional wear along the inner runners where the frames slide together.

Place the stack beside a sofa or armchair as a compact side table, or unpack individual tables across a seating area when entertaining to provide extra surface placement for guests.

Keep the wood away from direct sunlight and radiators to prevent drying or bleaching, and apply a high-quality beeswax polish periodically along the grain to protect the finish.
